Derrick Bateman claims that he is a “Cadillac of a man.” Trained as a paramedic and firefighter in college, Bateman has the conditioning of an athlete and the confidence to make for fierce competition on WWE NXT season four. Bateman describes himself as a “bad dude looking for a good time.” He believes that women want him and men will find him so obnoxious that they can’t help but want to be him. Bateman will be guided by his WWE Pro, season one alum Daniel Bryan. The NXT Rookie can learn a great deal from his WWE Pro, who has more than 10 years of in-ring experience and trains at MMA legend Randy Couture’s gym. The duo is also roughly the same size and height, which can work to Bateman’s advantage, as Bryan can teach him how to best utilize his stature against the competition. With a successful WWE NXT graduate in his corner, Bateman may be a force to be reckoned with.
